My grandmother identified the young man as her grandfather, James Warren Sargent, born 1831 in New York. He moved to Lenawee County, Michigan before 1854, where he married Helen Mar Cary. Helen was born in 1835 in Onondaga Co., New York. They lived in Hudson, Medina Twp., Lenawee County, Michigan before moving to Hillsdale County MI.
