John and Joanne heard the sirens and went to investigate. When John saw Jake in the ambulance, he jumped in to ride with him to the hospital. Joanne followed in the car. |

On the way to the hospital, Jake said "How bad is it, John?" "Jake, you twisted your toe! It's not serious!" John said, trying to keep Jake calm. |
